Robert Franco recently prevailed in an arbitration before the American Arbitration Association on a property damage claim brought by a general contractor against a subcontractor. The claim arose out of defective plumbing work performed by the subcontractor on a construction project in the City of Chicago. The arbitrator held that the subcontractor was liable for the property damage and entered a judgment of nearly $1 million on the general contractor’s claims against the subcontractor.
