In Ruark v. Christy Webber & Company, et al., 16 L 175, the Plaintiff alleged she was injured due to improperly installed tree grates along Addison Street in Chicago which caused her to trip and fall.  Summary judgment was granted based upon the argument that Plaintiff failed to present evidence that the tree grates became defective as a result of the Defendant’s installation.  No appeal was filed.
